<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://brumleyfuneralhome.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/113_144238.jpg" alt="Dalton Levi Janes" />Dalton Levi Janes was born on November 1, 1994, in DeQueen, Arkansas to Heather Beam of Eagletown, OK and Mickell Janes of DeQueen, Arkansas.  Dalton walked into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 22, 2013 at the age of 18.  Dalton was preceded in death by his special uncle, Robert Buck; uncle, Tommy Cockrell; paternal great-grandfather, Paw Ed Gibbons, and maternal great-grandparents, Claude and Tillie Cockrell, and Louise Peek.
Dalton leaves to cherish his memory; his parents, Heather and Larry Beam of Eagletown, Oklahoma, and Mickell Janes of DeQueen, Arkansas; two sisters, Sierra Brooke and Emily Grace, and one brother, Blaze Beam all of the home; brother, Kyle Beam of Talequah, Oklahoma; sisters, Nikobie Grace Janes of DeQueen, Arkansas; Alex Beam of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; Katelin and Madison Beam of Texarkana, Texas; maternal grandparents, Rodney and Sherry Cockrell of Eagletown, Oklahoma; paternal grandparents, Hershel and Faye Janes of DeQueen, Arkansas; several aunts and uncles; cousins; the Eagletown Class of 2013, and a host of special friends.
Dalton graduated from Eagletown High School on May 17, 2013.  He received a tuition waver scholarship from Kiamichi Technology Center where he was planning to finish his course work this fall in welding technology under the instruction of Travis Sargent.
Throughout high school, Dalton received numerous awards while serving as an FFA member.  Over the past four years Dalton had competed in the McCurtain County Skeet Shoot and tied for first place four times.  This year Dalton achieved his goal.  He won first place and received a Remington 870 shotgun for his accomplishment.
While attending Kiamichi Technology Center from 2012 to 2013 he received college credits from OSU IT for the course work he completed in welding technology and had recently received his Welding Steam Card from the Oklahoma Department of Labor.
On April 1, 2013 Dalton became a volunteer fire fighter for the Eagletown Fire Department.  His first fire call was at his school to extinguish a bus fire.  The men and women of the fire department expressed that it was an honor to have been given the privilege to serve with such a kind hearted, eager and promising young man.
Dalton was an avid hunter and fisherman during his young life and he was passionate about spending time with family and friends.  He also enjoyed welding and riding the back roads. 
Dalton will be remembered as a devoted, loving and remarkable young man.  He was his mother’s and father’s rock, a son, a brother, a grandson, a nephew, a cousin, a student, and a friend.  He blessed our lives with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and courage.  Dalton Levi Janes will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him.  He was the kind of young man that anyone would be proud to call son, grandson and friend.

Cletus Hawkins, 80, of Broken Bow, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Broken Bow Health and Rehab in Broken Bow, OK.  He was born March 12, 1933 in Hockerville, OK the son of Orin and Cuma Jane (Martin) Hawkins. 

Bro. Hawkins lived in the Broken Bow area most of his life.  He was a 1952 graduate of Gray High School in Idabel, OK where he played center for the 1950, 1951 Idabel Warriors.  After graduation he married his lifetime sweetheart Doris Jean Bell on August 25, 1952 at the Lukfata Baptist Church which he helped build as a teenager.  He then attended the Orthodox Baptist Institute in Ardmore, OK and received a BA in Theology.  He began his lifelong work in the ministry when he helped establish what is now named the Portland Avenue Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.  He ministered for nine years at Springdale Baptist Church in Ardmore and one year at the Antioch Baptist Church in Kaufman, TX.  Bro. Hawkins was the pastor at Lukfata Baptist Church for thirty three years retiring in May of 1999 and was then named Pastor Emeritus by the church.  He along with Dr. Joe C. Hocking organized and ran a youth camp at Robber’s Cave State Park for thirty years.  He also made two trips to the Holy Land and preached at the Sea of Galilee.  His church family was special to him and he was proud of the youth and was quick to acknowledge special achievements in their lives.  Bro. Hawkins loved his children and was proud of the many accomplishments his grandchildren have made.     

Bro. Hawkins leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Doris Hawkins of the home; three children, David Hawkins and wife, Michelle of Wright City, OK, Gary Hawkins and wife, Donna of Tahlequah, OK and Renee Camp and husband, Mike of Broken Bow, OK; one sister, Judy Hubbard of Oklahoma City, OK; grandchildren, Heather Feathers and husband, Jeremy, Candice Bolt and husband, Brandon, Amberly Hawkins, Charise Camp and Jeffrey Hawkins; two great-grandchildren, Jay and Jarren; two cousins, Homer Lee Hawkins, Lawton, OK and Bill Bales of Albert Lea, MN, several nieces, nephews, his church family and many friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Homer “Chick” Hawkins; sister, Ruth Culver and twin sister, Cleo Wood.

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://brumleyfuneralhome.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/113_143981.jpg" alt="George Walters" />George Paul Walters, 71, an attorney who practiced law in Broken Bow for more than 40 years, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2013.  George was born November 24, 1941, to Rev. C.J. and Zera Mae Walters in Hollis, Oklahoma.  He graduated from Broken Bow High School in 1959 and Oklahoma State University in 1963, where he majored in Banking &amp; Finance. In 1969, he graduated from the University Of Tulsa College Of Law.  
 
George served southeastern Oklahoma as a lawyer and volunteer, including Chairman of the Oklahoma Tourism Commission, Broken Bow City Attorney, Broken Bow School Board Attorney, counsel to several Rural Water Districts, counsel for the Choctaw Electric Cooperative, Broken Bow Municipal Judge, and President of the Broken Bow Library Board when it became part of the state library system.  He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Broken Bow and served as Chair of the Administrative Board.  He served for many years as a guardian ad litem for McCurtain County children, Chairman of the McCurtain County Democratic Party, President of the Broken Bow Chamber of Commerce, and mentor/coach of the Broken Bow High School Mock Trial Team. 

George is survived by Kaye Walters, his wife of 50 years; his daughter Jill Walters, son-in-law Robert Pace, and granddaughter Catherine Pace, of Amarillo, Texas; and his son Jay Walters, daughter-in-law Staci Coleman, and granddaughters Doran and Drew Walters of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law Carolyn and L.R. Jones of Tulsa, Oklahoma; brother and sister-in-law Jack and Chris Walters of Austin, Texas; brother and sister-in-law Patrick and Karen Walters of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and mother-in-law Dashiell Keirsey of Denton, Texas; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law Harry Keirsey; and niece Sara Jones Phelps.

In addition to supporting his community and clients through his professional and civic activities, George spent his leisure time supporting golf courses, book stores, movie theaters, and record stores.  Probably his favorite pastime, however, was spending time with his family, all of whom adored him but regularly groaned at his jokes.

The memorial service will be at the First United Methodist Church of Broken Bow on Wednesday, May 22nd at 10:00 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Myeloma Institute for Research and Therapy Development Office, UAMS, 4301 W. Fell Jr, 69, of Smithville, OK, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013 at his home in Smithville.  He was born October 26, 1943 in El Paso, TX the son of George and Betty Elizabeth (Davis) Fell Sr.

George loved American History and traveling the United States.  He received his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Texas A&amp;M and received his Masters Degree in Business Administration from UTEP.  

George leaves to cherish his memory, one sister, Barbara Fisher and husband, Billy of Hawkins, TX; one brother, Randy Fell and wife, Pattie of El Paso, TX; nine nieces and nephews and many friends.   

He was preceded in death by his parents George Kreplin Fell Sr and Betty Elizabeth (Davis) Fell.

The son of Euke Cardine and Leva Flowrene (Karr) Shields, he was born May 27, 1932 in Broken Bow, OK.

Bob married Joan Vandiver on July 27, 2012 in DeQueen, AR.  He loved to fish, hunt, tell stories, mechanic work, riding the tractor and brush hogging.  Bob loved his family and spending time with friends.  

Bob leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Joan Shields of the home; two sons, Bobby Shields and Larry Shields and wife, Rhonda all of CA; three daughters, Mary Sells and husband, Danny of Valliant, OK, Robbie Flowers of Wright City, OK and Debra Kay Shields; four step-children, Kenneth Tucker and wife, Kellee of Tatum, NM, Anjanette Shields and husband, Ricky of Holly Creek, OK, Steve Tucker and wife, Jackie of Broken Bow, OK and Heliena Sampson and husband, Rob of Idabel, OK; daughter-in-law, Billie Jo Little of Sallisaw, OK; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren; two special friends, Sissy McClure and Lisa Shields and a host of other friends.

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://brumleyfuneralhome.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/113_143899.jpg" alt="Freddie McKeever Brosie" />Freddie June McKeever Brosie passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Glover, OK on the banks of Glover River at the home she recently built on the old home place of her parents.

She was born Jan 11, 1935 at Oak Hill in McCurtain County, OK to Aulda Leonard and Sarah Gertrude Whisenhunt McKeever.

Services for Freddie June are set for Wednesday May 22 at 1:00 p.m. at the Glover River Cowboy Church in Glover, OK (rock church 2 miles south of the North Pole Store) with Bro. Forrest Gibbs officiating.  A meal will be provided and all family and friends are invited prior to the service with fellowship hall open at 11:00 a.m.

Freddie June was a born survivor and lived 18 years longer than doctors predicted she would by the sheer will power to prove them wrong.   She loved the song “Amazing Grace” and made her granddaughter promise to sing this at her funeral when the time came.

When she moved back to McCurtain County from Arizona, she enjoyed meeting with her family and friends each Friday night for a delicious catfish dinner and sharing of family news and seeing everyone she knew and loved while on the outing.  She dearly loved the springtime when the dogwoods would bloom around her home at Glover.

She lived for many years in Phoenix, Arizona and was a long time business owner of a beauty salon there where she made many friends.  People were naturally drawn to Freddie June and her bubbly personality.  Each year she would often show up for the Fourth of July festivities at the Wright City Rodeo and was always ready for a party.   She attended many of her class reunions at Wright City and loved seeing her classmates.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, Dr. Donald Brosie in 1985.  Also preceding her in death are brothers, Willie Glenn (W. G.), Leonard Allen, Sr.; and sisters, Audie Myrle, Iva Lucille, and Frances Charline.  

She is survived by two brothers, Alvie Dock McKeever of Cottonwood, AZ and Tommy Lahman and her daughters, Thersia Baker Davis, her son, Jasen and her daughter, Sunny Lyn Williams and husband, Jason and their children, Benna, JJ &amp; Aaron; Sarah Baker Mahoney and Chuck, Lisa Carole Baker Fenn and son, Aleks Lipowicz and Johanna Brosie and husband, Jason Eyestone and their children Eve, Sarah and Jax. He was born September 15, 1969 in DeQueen, AR.

Kevin graduated from Broken Bow High School in 1987 where he was member of the local FFA Chapter, he loved horses, going to the lake, Atlanta Braves Baseball, going to family reunions, traveling, rodeos, spending time with his many friends, going to watch his niece and nephews play sports and spending time with family.

Kevin leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, Carol and Tommy Sullivan, Larry and Cathy Burke all of Broken Bow; sisters, Shelley and Phil Cobb of Whitesboro, TX and Carri and Keith Taylor of Broken Bow; niece, Cortlyn Cobb; Nephews, Cayden Cobb, Trenton Underwood and Colton Taylor; maternal grandmother, Glendora Hollingsworth; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.

She was born October 27, 1978 in Ft. Smith, AR the daughter of Benny C. Davis and Janet Kay Jacob. 

Jami lived in this area most of her life.  She was affiliated with Good New Fellowship in Broken Bow.  Jami worked as a shift-leader for Tommy and Julie Dorries at the Sonic Drive In at Valliant.  She liked to go to the lake, grill food, read mystery books, cook, back-roading and listening to music.  She enjoyed spending time with family, friends and doing her hair and make-up. 

Jami is survived by her father, Benny C. Davis of McAlester, OK; mother, Janet Kay Jacob of Broken Bow, OK; one son, Sebastian R. Thurman of Hugo, OK; one daughter, Haliegh R. Jacob of Wright City, OK; brothers, Brent Jacob of Broken Bow, OK, B.J. Davis and wife, Lori of McAlester, OK; one sister, Cynthia Jones and husband, David of Ringold, OK; maternal grandfather, Isaac Jacob of Valliant, OK; paternal grandmother, Carolyn Davis of McAlester, OK; great-grandmother, Margaret Billy; aunts, Hettie Harris, Missy Davis, Cindy and Dave Halter, uncle, Carl Jacob, cousins, Doobie, Kimberly, Kristen, Damien, Adrian, Jordan and Rain Water; special friends, Michael Ward, Jane Ward and Dannie Ward; and many friends.

Vickie was born July 23, 1959 in Idabel, OK the daughter of Barbara Sue (Jacobs) and Carson William Steel.  

Vickie loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.  She also enjoyed driving her car and riding horses. 

Vickie is survived by one daughter, Stacy Neurenberg of Idabel, OK; one son, “Bubba” James Carson Bassford of Idabel, OK; four brothers, Robert Steel and Donny Steel both of Eagletown, OK, Ronnie Steel of Broken Bow, OK and James Jacobs of Holly Creek, OK; two sisters, Twilla Sue Jacobs-Carver of Broken Bow, OK and Joan Caldwell of Valliant, OK; three grandchildren, Cody Lane Neurenberg-Thief, Kason Ray Thief and Rustin Lee Driver; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.  
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Rush Lawrence Neurenberg, daughter, Casie Renee Neurenberg Driver and “granny” Geraldine Marie Thomas.

Cole, 80 of Broken Bow, OK passed away May 3, 2013 at Christus St. Michael Health System in Texarkana, TX.  She was born January 3, 1933 in Idabel, OK the daughter of Daniel Brad and Ocie Bell (Derryberry) Bolen Sr. 

Ruby lived in this area most of her life.  She graduated from Gray High School in Idabel, OK in 1951.  Ruby and Glenn were married on June 14, 1962 in Idabel, OK.  She was a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church where she loved to attend.  She loved reading the bible and was a Prayer Warrior.  Ruby was a former secretary and bookkeeper for Bernie Clay, Dierks Lumber Company and Holly Creek Fryers/Lane Poultry.  

Ruby is survived by one daughter, Mary Ann Clouse and husband, Billy E. of Broken Bow, OK; two sons, Bobby Shoulders of North Carolina and Mike Shoulders of CA; one daughter-in-law, Charlotte Cole of Broken Bow, OK; one brother, Danny Bolen and wife, Reta of Idabel, OK; one grandson, Billy Cole Clouse; six granddaughters, Elizabeth Leonora Woodard and husband, Paul, Rachel Garica, Andrea Shoulders, Charlotte Way, Hannah Cornett and Mandy Shoulders; nine great-grandchildren; special niece, Darlene Haley; special Nephew, Brent Bolen and wife, Myndi; several other nieces, nephews and friends. 
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Brad and Ocie Bell (Derryberry) Bolen Sr., husband, Glenn Cole and one son, John Glenn Cole on November 17, 2011.
